Sprint has just announced the release of an OTA update for the Galaxy Note 4. It’s a major update and will bring the software to the new Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Samsung announced the a few weeks ago, when it started to roll out in Poland. Then, it was only a matter of time until the final version reach the major markets. Now, Sprint has started to release the update to their smartphones, although they announced it will be rolling out gradually.
The new version has the number N910PVPU1BOB7 and include all the improvements that you can expect with the new software version. In addition, Sprint has also added some Wi-Fi calling enhancements.
Keep an eye on the notifications to see if the update is ready for your device or if you don’t feel like waiting patiently, try to check for it manually. To do so, tap and drag the notification bar from the home screen to access the “Settings” menu. Go to “System update” and tap on “Update now”. If your are lucky and the file is available, just follow the instructions to download and install the update.
As this is a major update, the downloaded file is quite heavy. Be sure you are connected to a Wi-Fi network or your data plan may suffer considerably. Also, check the battery life before starting the installation.
