T-Mobile announced last week that the update to Android 5.0 Lollipop is ready. If you have a T-Mobile versions of the Note 3, you can start enjoying the new software.
The new building number is N900TUVUFOB5, and it is a major update, so you can expect to find a rather big file to download.
Samsung has not given much details about the changes you should expect, but you will still have TouchWiz running there, which keeps the usual appearance. This is the changelog posted by Samsung:
OS upgrade to Android 5.0 (Lollipop)
Wi-Fi calling experience
Resolved Wi-Fi calling one way audio
Resolved IPv6 email setup
Despite not giving much information, you can expect to find all the main features that come with Lollipop, such as fluid animations, Material Design, bolder color notifications on the lock screen, floating actions buttons, ART and updated multitasking interface.
You can check a detailed explanation about the main new features form the information posted by Verizon a few weeks ago, when the company announced the update to Lollipop for the Galaxy S5.
If you are still wandering how Lollipop might look under TouchWiz, you can have a look with the video posted by Droid-life working with a Galaxy S5.http://www.droid-life.com/2015/02/02/samsung-galaxy-s5-lollipop-tour/
If you want to check manually for the update, go to “Menu” and tap on “Settings”. Once there, move to “General” and tap on “About device” and there you will find the option to “Software update”.
You will be able to start the download if the file is ready, and then just follow the instructions to install the file. Once the installation is complete, the device will restart automatically.
