T-Mobile updates the Galaxy Note 3 to Android 5.0 Lollipop


T-Mobile announced last week that the update to Android 5.0 Lollipop is ready. If you have a T-Mobile versions of the Note 3, you can start enjoying the new software.

The new building number is N900TUVUFOB5, and it is a major update, so you can expect to find a rather big file to download.

Samsung has not given much details about the changes you should expect, but you will still have TouchWiz running there, which keeps the usual appearance. This is the changelog posted by Samsung:

OS upgrade to Android 5.0 (Lollipop)
Wi-Fi calling experience
Resolved Wi-Fi calling one way audio
Resolved IPv6 email setup

Despite not giving much information, you can expect to find all the main features that come with Lollipop, such as fluid animations, Material Design, bolder color notifications on the lock screen, floating actions buttons, ART and updated multitasking interface.

If you want to check manually for the update, go to “Menu” and tap on “Settings”. Once there, move to “General” and tap on “About device” and there you will find the option to “Software update”.

You will be able to start the download if the file is ready, and then just follow the instructions to install the file. Once the installation is complete, the device will restart automatically.
