HTC updates the Dot View app with interesting features

When HTC One M8 was released some time ago, it provided a sheath book cover with it, we knew then that this perforated sheath combined with a proper application was going to bring notices and other notifications without having to remove the cover over the screen, somewhat like a neon sign. Well, now finally it seems that HTC has learned the lesson of what happens when you do not update your “old” devices, and has begun an update that it’s going to be applied to the application that controls the operation of the phone when the case is on the screen.

Now with this update we can see how it comes to the application and what new things are coming to improve the experience. For example, we can put photos and images as a desktop on the sheath, to act as a pic of the sheath, we have the option to choose our own image as wallpaper, redial the last three calls and we can slide one side to access to more notifications. Small improvements, while not essential, are very thankful for users when using the phone daily with the accessory.

Anyway, it seems that HTC wants to improve what they have done till now, which may symbolize finally that they really care about the consumer and want to continue the support to users after purchase any of their devices. It is still early to tell, especially when Android L and the respective updates are just around the corner now, but HTC may finally have learned which is the path that can return them to the position they had before in the market and try to keep “loyal” buyers on the way back to fame and succesful smartphones and other devices.
