This new year is interesting not only for the arrival of more top models from every brand that will be able to compete on the market, but also for the update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow that will cover many devices. Among them we also find the Huawei Honor 7 now, a smartphone that has had some success in the market thanks to quality specifications and a very affordable price.
It’s actually from October we talk about Android 6.0 Marshmallow for Honor 7, but the release did not take place because of the extension of the beta test. But finally the wait seems practically finished and the confirmation comes directly from the Honor EU Twitter. Through such social networks the company has released two important news.
First of all you will receive via OTA the release of the final version of Marshmallow for all those who participated in the beta testing program, but soon after that it would be launch a new much more comforting to tweet for all other users. In the latter case, it was announced as within two weeks all the Honor 7 will automatically be updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. And for sure that by the end of February you can take advantage of the latest version of Android on Honor 7, although it is unclear if it will happen simultaneously for all European countries. There remains at this point to wait and find out if in your country there will be such update.
If Honor 7 will begin to receive the software upgrade from the end of February 2016, there are good chances that other smartphones of Honor series will begin receiving Marshmallow from the month of March or at most to April 2016. For example, the new Honor 5X is slated to receive Android 6, although still officially Honor EU has not spread any information about the exact date of the initial handshake of the upgrade software. Honor whole range, including 4X models, 5X, 6, 6 Plus and precisely Honor 7 will be upgraded to Android Marshmallow on paper: if you have purchased one of them you will have to bring a little patience before you can update the software to the most recent version.
