AT&T HTC One (M8) receives an update to Android 4.4.3

AT&T has delivered the OTA update to Android 4.4.3 of the HTC One (M8). With this update, the owners of a device from AT&T will have its smartphone running the latest possible Android version.

Last weeks, the T-Mobile and Sprint variants of the HTC One (M8) had already obtained the actualization. With this new of coming from AT&, the only carrier that has not provided it yet is Verizon, although the company has announced that they are going to lunch the OTA update in the next weeks.

The update doesn’t change many things apparently, as the HTC One (M8) run its own Sense 6 layer. However, it’s expected to fix some security issues as well as some Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and mobile network problems. It also updates the camera app, the Image Match from the Gallery and the Power History from the Settings menu. Several other features have been optimized, such as the Boomsound, the Extreme Power Saving Mode, the Motion Launch and the Quick Setting.

The new number version is 2.22.1540.3, and it weighs a total of 592MB, so be sure to use a Wi-Fi connection before starting the download of the file.

Once Verizon releases its update to Android 4.4.3, all the HTC One (M8) will be running the latest possible version before the arrival of Android L. The company had announced that the update to the new Android L will be launched in about 90 since Google released the OS, so they need to hurry if they wanted to keep the schedule.
