US Cellular updates for the Galaxy S5, Note 3 and Note 4

US Cellular has just announced a list of updates for three of the Galaxy devices: the S5, the Note 3 and the Note 4. It’s just an small update, so don’t raise your expectations too high, Lollipop is not here yet.

The updates will bring the following built numbers: G900R4VXU1ANK1 for the Galaxy S5, N900R4TYUCNG5 for the Note 3, and N910R4TYU1ANK5 for the Note 4. They will be still running Android 4.4.2, but you will see some improvements mainly related with the Camera App and the Dialer.

Samsung has posted the changelog for the three devices, with the details regarding the Phone Dialer, the Camera, Hangouts, Just say “Ok Google” and Emoji everywhere. Here you can see the full list of changes:

Phone Dialer: The new phone app automatically prioritizes your contacts based on the people you talk to the most. You can also search for nearby places and businesses, your contacts, or people in your Google Apps domain.
Camera: Enhanced the “touch to focus” option with a new circular, on screen control that can be dragged by your finger around the viewfinder to adjust a photo’s focus and exposure.
Hangouts: With the new Hangouts app, all of your SMS and MMS messages are together in the same app, alongside your other conversations and video calls.
Just say “Ok Google”: You don’t need to touch the screen to get things done. When in Google Now, just say “Ok Google” to launch voice search, send a text, get directions or even play a song.
Emoji everywhere: Sometimes words can’t express how you feel. For that, there’s Emoji, the colorful Japanese characters, now available on Google Keyboard.

The update is going to roll out in waves, so if you are the owner of one of those Galaxy devices, keep an eye on the notifications, as the OTA update is on the way. As usual, if you don’t want to wait for the notification, you can always search for the update manually, from the “Software update” option that you can find under the “Settings menu”, taping on “About device”.
