Sprint updates for the Galaxy S III, S5 Sport, and Tab 4


Sprint has announced small updates for several devices of the Galaxy series. The Galaxy S III, the Galaxy S5 Sport and the Galaxy Tab 4 are receiving OTA updates that brings some enhancements to their softwares.

Its not the expected update to Android 5.0 Lollipop, but if you have any of those devices, the update will add some new features that you may find interesting. Here you can see the information regarding each device.

Galaxy S III. The new software version is L710VPUCNJ2, and after the update, you will have an “HD Voice Icon”. With this option, you will be able to increase the wound quality. In addition, Sprint also announced some “Google security patches”.

Galaxy Tab 4

Galaxy S5 Sport. This is the first update of this devices, which brings the software to the version G860PVPU1ANK2. The improvements are not much obvious here, as Sprint only says “Minor UI enhancements”.

Galaxy Tab 4. This one is also the first update for the Galaxy Tab 4. The new version is now T237PVPU1ANL1, and it bring the Samsung’s Kids Mode UI layer.

The updates are rolling out in waves, so you can just wait for the OTA to reach your device. As usual, you can also check for it manually and download the new software version. In any case, make sure you have enough battery before starting the installation. The device will automatically restart running the new software once the process is finished. If you check the software version, they should match the numbers detailed before for each model.
