Samsung has provided the release of a new update for its own internet browser, a major update that should bring some interesting features for a wide variety of devices.
Samsung Internet 4.0 also extends to Android 5.0 Lollipop devices and higher (this version was already released for Android 6.0 Marshmallow devices) with adblock functionality, which still requires third-party applications to perform its task. In addition, the update adds more privacy with the new Secret Mode and a timeline for videos (also pop-up), fixes several bugs and improves the general performance of the application.
First, to run the browser on your the device, it should be installed at least with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system or higher. So now which devices are supported? Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy S7, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge+, Note 5, S6 Active, Note 4, Galaxy S5, S5 Neo, S5 Active, S5 Sports, S5 LTE A, Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S4, S4 Active, S4 LTE A, Galaxy A8, A7, A5x, A7x and A9x.
This new update for the Samsung Internet browser comes with many innovations added to the case. It also has the support of most of these devices are of course ad-blocking extension. Previously only available for Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system, so only for Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6/S7 models, that supports the ad-blocking extension Adblock Fast. But now we also mention new phones supported that can be updated for the new browser version. The rest smartphones will not be compatible.
To make the update of Samsung Internet, available wherever Samsung sells its devices, first, install the Samsung Internet for Android with adblock funcionality. After a fast implementation, you must enable the adblock funcionality and plug-in at the upper right of the Samsung browser, where it reads “More”, and tap there. From the drop-down menu go to Settings > Advanced > Block contents > Block content Fast and that’s all. Enable whether the contents of the adblock feature is, activate the plugin Adblock Fast and enjoy.
