Nvidia Shield has received a new update, more than one year after it was launched. In this update, number 92, there will be some issues fixed.
The company affirms that it will mainly repair some important bugs, such as those affecting the users in GameStream that experienced intermittent streaming issues. The update will also fix a bug on the home screen that sometimes replaces the Twitch icon with a non-working Android one.
In addition, they had also solved the problems with the auto-rotated screen feature, which can now be enabled from the Display option under the Settings menu. Finally, it will fix some auto turning issues on selecting racing games which requires gyro-sensor support.
The updated will eventually reach all the owners through an OTA notification. However, if you don’t want to wait for it, you can also download the file manually. To do so, you have to go to the “Settings” menu and tab on the “About” option. There, we will find “System updates”, where we can manually download the file.
It’s highly advisable to be connected to a Wi-Fi network, as the file weighs about 480 MB.
