HTC One M7 Lollipop update

HTC has started to update the One (M7) Developer Edition and Unlocked Models One

HTC has announced the expected update to Android 5.0 Lollipop for the One (M7) Developer Edition and the respective unlocked models.

The update has come almost at the same time that the US carrier Sprint pushed out the update to Lollipop for their respective version of the One. So, if you are a lucky owner of one of those devices, you can start enjoying the new Android 5.0 experience.

Surprisingly, the update for the One (M7) has come faster than for the newest version of the phone. The owners of a One (M8) are still waiting and there is no information about the expected update.

HTC had promised a waiting time of 90 days for both devices, and they are missing the deadline for the M8.

The update weights more than 700 MB, so be sure to use a Wi-Fi network before starting the download. It will bring the phone to the version number 7.17.1540.7, running Android 5.0.2 with Sense 6.0.

Although the HTC One (M7) is a two years old phone, it’s still a great device. If you are the owner of one of those smartphones, you can now start enjoying the Lollipop version, with all the new features that come with this last software versions.
