T-Mobile update for the HTC One M8 to Lollipop

Yesterday, T-Mobile started the updating process fo the HTC One M8 to Android 5.0 Lollipop.

When Google released the last Android version, HTC announced that they will have the update ready for the One M7 and M8 in 90 days. Well, months have past and they haven’t managed to get the update on time.

However, the company is trying hard, and the last few days we had a lot of news regarding the update for the M7 and M8 models from Sprint, and for the M7 unlocked version and the developer edition.

Now, it’s the turn for the T-Mobile costumers. Finally the update is here, so you can start enjoying the new Android 5.0 Lollipop experience in your HTC One M8.

The update will be rolling out in waves, so you probably have not received the notification yet. You can wait for the message or you can try to check for the update manually. Just keep in mind before starting the download, that the file has a size of 6354MB. So, it’s highly recommended to use a Wi-Fi network to download the file. In addition, you are going to need the battery at least half charged.

The update will bring the software to the number 4.20.531.4, and in the T-Mobile changelog there isn’t much information, they just announced the update to Android 5.0.

As with other updates from HTC, the news first came from Mo Versi.

Keep an eye open in the notifications bar, as the news can reach your device at any moment now.
