Different information circulating is pointing that the LG G4 can stay in the current version of Android and would not receive any other update until the arrival of new Android M, whatever its number and name is. Something that with LG G3 has already confirmed, not going through Android 5.1 at the moment.
Updates of LG terminals are again in the news. Several messages that appear in official profiles of the operator O2 in the UK and LG in Greece suggest that the last of the devices launched by the company, the LG G4, is staying in its operating system without seeing the latest iteration of Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, or any that come after at least until the last third of the year when Google will release the new version Android M, probably.
We must also recognize that the LG G4 already has Android 5.1 and therefore Android 5.1.1 is a minor release, if it brings the relevant error correction, nor is it to provide a ration of really outstanding novelties. More remarkable is that the LG G3 will not recieve Android 5.1, an iteration that already would be more interesting to enjoy in the months remaining until the arrival of the next version of the operating system from Mountain View.
Moreover, no longer an unfairness against other brands such as Samsung itself that led to its pointers terminals such as Samsung Galaxy S6, the latest version of Android that has already been announced that it rolling out via OTA to its users.
As noted, the improvements of Android 5.1.1. are minimal and not solved some of the mistakes that pulls the software and will not have a solution until they get the latest news on Android M, such as the recently optimized operation of the Project Volta, or complaints from users still audible in poor management of RAM, known as memory leaks that affect the performance of many terminals since joining Lollipop.
