Sony has announced an update for the Xperia E3. The news has been posted at the Xperia blog, where you can read that Sony plans to release the update soon.
Currently, the new firmware built 18.5.A.0.26 can only be downloaded through XperiFirm for the D2202 HSPA+ variant. If you are the owner of an Xperia E3, follow this link to get the FTF, although you should keep in mind that it’s not the official version yet, so it might have some issues.
The Xperia E3 was launched on 2014, and it was aimed to the low-middle range. It has a 4.5-inch LCD TFT screen with 480 x 854 pixels resolution. The E3 packs a Quad-core Snapdragon 400 clocked at 1.2 GHz, with 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB of internal memory expandable up to 32 GB via microSD.
The Xperia E3 has a 5 MP camera with 4x Digital zoom and a front VGA one. The device has a size of 137.1 x 69.4 x 8.5 mm and a weight of 143.8 grams.
With this update, Sony will show their efforts to keep the software up to date, even for the middle-low range devices.
