If you are owner of one of the terminals of Sony Xperia, you are in luck, because Sony Japan has confirmed in an official statement the upgrade to the full range of devices Sony Xperia, including Sony Xperia Z2 and Sony Xperia Z3 to the latest version of Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
Some of the terminals in the catalog of Sony did not even have Lollipop, so it will jump directly to the Lollipop Android version 5.1.1, the latest version available officially and the one that more corrections and changes brings. The list is not extensive as to details revealed by Sony regarding the changes displayed to users and holders of any terminal Sony Xperia Z2 and Z3, since it is not limited to smartphones, it will also reach the tablets of the brand, including so-called “Compact”.
In detail, some changes are applied to the user interface as “Quick Setup”, showing the different connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, data networks, NFC, Stamina, Bluetooth, etc. They also mention a handful of new animations, including by Google in the latest version of Android and, as usual, also bring all possible corrections seen to date.
The official launch will take place over the air in late July, so in the next two weeks remaining of the current month it should begin to come gradually to all devices that have this range of terminals Sony Xperia Z2 and Sony Xperia Z3 and as we have said not only smartphones, but also for all tablets available.
We will see if the update is beneficial or not for such devices. However, either by Sony for updates continue to offer support to its terminals, this are good news. It would have more merit if Android M arrives at the end of the year as announced, then it would be something good to users.
