Nexus 7 LTE can be updated to Android 4.4.3
A few days ago the Nexus family received an unexpected update to Android 4.4.4 for most of his members. However, the Nexus 7 LTE was not among them. This device has kept running Android 4.4.2 for quite a while now, and the last two updates have forgotten it.
Finally, if you have a Nexus 7 LTE you will be able to upgrade it to the Android 4.4.3, software version KTU84L, thanks to the release of its factory images. They have appeared along with its drivers, so if you knew how to update a phone from its factory images, you are lucky. You can find the files to flash your tablet on the image’s page and the driver’s page respectively. However, if you don’t want to upgrade using factory images, you can wait a bit longer until de OTA arrives, something that should be happening soon.
The update includes the new dialer, with lighter blues and greys, and improved usability and consistency. In addition, the actualization fixes some bugs and some issues with the Bluetooth connectivity.
Nexus 7 (2013) LTE has always been a little special in the Nexus family. Its updates have always come later that other devices of the same family and the reason is not clear. But one thing is sure, you can now get this update to Android 4.4.3 and probably the actualization to 4.4.4 will be available soon.
Just remember that if you prefer to install the actualization of your device through an OTA update, it may still take some time. Usually the actualizations reach its users gradually, so in the next days you will probably receive the news.
