If you have a smartphone LG G3, you also have a device that will receive an update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow imminently. The firmware based on the new operating system for the LG flagship released last year will start sending the update to LG G3.
The LG G3 is a high quality smartphone that, in fact, was one of the flagships released last year 2014. The LG G4, the flagship that has been launched this year 2015, has already received update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. We knew that the LG G3 could receive the update before the end of 2015 and it seems that it will be. The firmware, based on the latest operating system by Google could begin to be available for LG G3 imminently.
However, it seems logical that its release will be gradual. To know when it will arrive to your smartphone it must first be determined when it will reach America, Asia and Europe. Its landing in Poland -usually the first European country to upgrade- also mean the arrival to other European countries step by step. It is still possible to upgrade to Android 6.0 Marshmallow before arriving the end of the year, and that will be very crucial for users who have a LG G3.
But are the updates really as relevant for users? Clearly, there are users that when they buy a smartphone, they want it to be among the first to receive the update. It is the case of purchasing a Nexus of Google. But in the case of LG, we are not talking about a Nexus, and yet we see a moving last year to receive the update before the end of the year, when the flagship of Samsung, as the Galaxy S6, or the Galaxy Note 5, for example, have not yet received the update to the new and latest version of the operating system.
Soon you should also start receiving Android 6.0.1, a relatively minor update on Android 6.0 and is likely to repeat the same name: ie Marshmallow. Of course, as half of information moving in this “scene” at the moment everything is a rumor that Google will confirm or deny in the coming weeks.
