AT&T has announced that Android 5.0 Lollipop is ready for the Galaxy Note 3. The US carrier has just posted the news, and the OTA will bring the phone to the build number N900AUCUEOC1.
The changelog is not very detailed, but you can expect the typical features that come with Lollipop, such as:
Songs, photos, apps, and even recent searches from one Android device can be immediately enjoyed across all of your Android devices.
New User Interface look and feel, more fluid motions.
Priority mode to only allow certain notifications to get through.
Battery saving features and remaining time left to charge or deplete indicators.
Smart Lock to secure phone or tablet by pairing it with a trusted device like a wearable or car.
Most frequently used settings available with just two swipes down from the top screen.
To download the file, AT&T requires to use a Wi-Fi network, and it’s a good choice, as the file is 1.2 GB. Also, be sure to have enough battery before starting the installation.
If you don’t wnt to wait for the notification, you can always check for the update manually. If you want to try it, just go to the “Settings” menu and tap on “General”. There, move to “About device” and go to “Software updates”. You just need to “Check for updates” and if the file is available, you can follow the instructions to download and install it.
