HTC confirms that HTC One M7 and HTC One M8 will be upgraded to Android L
Yesterday we told you all about the new Google conference that was going to having place to show the new version of its most popular operating system, then we were asking ourselves if it was going to be a totally new version or an upgrade and about its news features. Now that we know the name, we are getting some news about the manufacturers that are going to upgrade their devices to this new version, being HTC one of the first to do it.
After Google has shown us Android L, the last version of the famous OS, HTC has promised its users that their main devices will be upgraded to this new version, confirming already that HTC One M7 and HTC One M8 will be updated.
For both smartphones, HTC has said that the update will be within the next 3 months after Google release the stable version of Android L. Obviously, HTC still has no any version of Android L software, but tomorrow will be some previews for Nexus 5 and Nexus 7.
Anyway, Android L is still in the hands of developers chipsets, so we have to keep in mind that we have to wait a few months until the whole process is done.
In any case, the important thing is, when Android L arrives, both devices will be updated to the new Android version, which is great news. In the near future, we will see if that’s also the decision made by other device manufacturers or if most of them decide to stay where they are for now until the stable version releases and we can see how it works and if the experience gets better with Android L comparing to its predecessors.
