Good news come from Sony. If you are owners of a Sony Xperia C4 or C4 Dual, the update to Android 5.1 Lollipop is getting closer. This smartphone, released in June last year is far from being a low-end, but neither close of being a high-end. Rather, it is a member of the so-called premium mid-range, which we have seen throughout 2015.
The oddest thing about the Xperia C4 is that it has been included in the list of smartphones to be updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, though until a few days ago did not even have Android 5.1 Lollipop. This fact caused many users to question the intentions of whether Sony would really be providing software support to a device that currently has not yet 7 months.
Fortunately, the Japanese giant has demonstrated with these actions, at least for now, that will continue to provide support to a relatively recent smartphones. However, what has surprised many users is the fact that the terminal will pass by Android 5.1 and not update directly to 6.0 Marshmallow, as it was expected to jump out the previous version.
For now, the update has not reached all Xperia C4 and C4 Dual models. Specifically, the new software version has been seen in five of six variants, with builds 27.2.B.0.155 and 27.2.A.0.155. Unfortunately, the C4 E5343 has not received Android 5.1 yet, but is expected to arrive sooner or later, because it would be rare to stay out of the process.
If you look at the specifications of Xperia C4, you will realize that there is a capable device. Inside it has a processor signed by MediaTek, specifically the 64-bit MTK6752 model at 1.7 GHz, a chip with good performance, that has been implemented in other phones recently. It also has 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory. In the photographic section, a 5 megapixel front camera and a rear of 13 megapixels. It implements a 5.5-inch screen with Full HD resolution. In terms of battery, the device features 2600 mAh.
