Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge (T-Mobile version) get an update

The new flagship devices from Samsung are getting a small update. They have just been released, but Samsung is correcting a few issues.

The new update will bring your software to Android 5.0.2/Baseband version G920TUVU1AOCG for the Galaxy S6 and G925TUVU1AOCG for the Galaxy S6 Edge.

The update has been released with the date of March 28, so if you have one of those devices, you are going to get the notification the next days.

Here you can see the list of fixes posted by Samsung:

Fingerprint scanner improvements
‘Failed to reboot’ error message
Clock drift fix
Audio quality improvements
Calendar event fix
Exchange Global Address Lookup fix

Before starting the installation process, make sure you have at least the battery with 50% of charge. You are going to need also a Wi-Fi connection, as the file size is 178.67 MB for both versions of the phone.

If you don’t want to wait for the notification, you can try to get the update manually from the phone. To do so, go to “Settings” and scroll down to “System”. Once there, tap “About device” and go to “Software update”. If the software is available, you can start the download. When the file is completely downloaded, follow the instructions to start the installation.

As usual, you can also install the update from the computer, installing first the Kies, activating USB Debugging Mode, and then installing the file from the computer using the Samsung Kies application.
