A lot of news about Android updates in different devices is coming to us after the Google I/O event was held, where the company showed the first view of its new operating system version designed for smartphones and tablet computers. Now Sony, the Japanese multinational conglomerate corporation headquartered in Japan, has confirmed that they are going to update to Android 4.4.4, which means a bit disappointing news knowing that Android L is already on the road.

We know that the subject of Android updates depending on what devices and companies we are talking about is a bit picky, and while some users do not know if their terminals will be upgraded to Android KitKat, Google has already shown us Android L. Well, surprisingly Sony has released Android 4.4.4 KitKat for the Xperia Z1 Compact, which reach the terminals as number 14.4.A.0.108 update.

The update is also becoming to more Sony terminals. This update has been released for users in Russia, Italy and Indonesia, so now we are waiting for other users and countries. Interestingly, it was found that the same update, this same build version (14.4.A.0.108) was also certified by the PTCRB website for the Xperia Z1 and Z Ultra. It doesn’t appear that the update is rolling to these handsets though.
