The Sony developers have rollout the release of the first official update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow for several terminals, including the brand models in the range Sony Xperia Z5, Sony Xperia Z3 Plus and Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet. The first to be updated are those sold in Japan but the firmware is already possible to download through the XperiFirm tool for manual installation, and should arrive around the world within the next few weeks.
The unofficial changelog of these versions is the build for all 32.1.A.1.163, and shows the introduction of the latest security patches developed by Google and the new Android Marshmallow with all the news included. Specifically, the new control system and management of permissions for applications, the Not-Disturb that blocks notifications and sounds, Doze mode which optimizes energy consumption but does not replace, at least for the moment, the STAMINA mode, still available.
It will not be available, however, the Adoptable Storage option to take advantage of the MicroSD to store internal data necessary for the operation of the system but also for the installation of applications and formatting it by adding it under “the device memory.” Sony has also revised the interface of some applications and installed the latest available. To prepare for the update you should perform a full backup and start to monitor the status of the release forcing the search for new version. How? By accessing the system updates item from the setup menu, and selecting “start searching” with internet connection (3G or WiFi) enable.
On the other hand, Sony Xperia Z5 is also ready to receive the update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system from now onwards: the Japanese company began to release the update for Japan devices, but slowly it seems that it will be spread all over the world, even going to consider the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium models (namely evolved, with 4k display and components of the highest profile) as well as compact Sony Xperia Z5 Compact. So the Z5 standards and its two brothers seem finally ready to dress in the new OS version of Google that improves security and performance.
