Motorola announced a few days ago had the update to Android 4.4.4 for the Droid family. Now, the Moto X and the Moto G (Verizon-only version) are running soak test for KitKat 4.4.4. This means that the update is almost ready and it will reach its users in the next few weeks.
These tests are optional and they are used to check the update before it reached the whole population. There won’t be many changes with the previous version, as both devices are currently running Android 4.4.3.
Motorola has a great reputation regarding the update of his devices, and the Moto X and G are not the exception. Both were some of the first devices to receive the update to Android 4.4 and rhythm of updates has not decrease so far. The fact that now the company belongs to Lenovo hasn’t changed that and most of the Motorola’s devices are currently running the latest version of Android.
Moto X is the flagship device from Motorola and it has earned a good reputation regarding it performance and price. The Moto G still stands as one the best option for the middle range devices, displaying also great specifications for its price range.
When Lenovo acquired Motorola, many people feared that the update’s timing was going to slow down, but it hasn’t been the case so far. Most of the devices from the company either have Android 4.4.4 or are going to receive the update in the next few weeks.
