Samsung Galaxy S5 firmware updates to improve performance
It has been known that the unlocked version of the Samsung Galaxy S5 in Europe, also known as the Model SM-G900F, is conducting a firmware update, which will improve the overall performance of the previous version. The new version of firmware will have the name XXU1ANG2 and will include a number of improvements that will please users. In addition to the update, also comes with a brand new kernel and baseband.
This new firmware update is the second that Samsung has held in its flagship since it went on sale. Just a week after the Samsung Galaxy S5 hit stores in April, the device was updated further with an update to improve the performance. Also, the phone received an error checking just one day before its release. Chances are that the latest update has the purpose to keep the Samsung Galaxy S5 to the level of its current competitors.
Although in most cases are already giving updates automatically, for some users it can take longer before the update reaches their smartphones. If you do not want to wait, you can check manually if available, go to Settings > About phone > Software updates.
Samsung Galaxy S5 is the common name for a series of high-end smart phones manufactured by Samsung, running the Android operating system Kit Kat 4.4 version. It was preceded by the Samsung Galaxy S4 in the family of high-end smartphones of Samsung, and the “Samsung Galaxy S4 Active” from the “S” series of Samsung Galaxy. It was announced in January 2014 and its presentation was on 24 February of the same year at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. It was officially launched on April 11, 2014. The Samsung Galaxy S5 competes in the smartphone sector with high-end devices like the Apple iPhone 5S, Sony Xperia Z2, by Sony Mobile Communications, LG Electronics LG G3, HTC Corporation HTC One (M8), Google Nexus 5 and the Lumia 930, Lumia 1520 and Lumia 1020 by Nokia.
