Nexus 5 Lollipop

Nexus 5 receives an Android 5.0.1 update

Google has started to release the first update to the new Android 5.0 Lollipop. This small update fixes some issues that came with the initial version. The update has been rolling out to most of the Nexus devices these last days, but Nexus 5 was left behind. Now it’s finally here, you can start updating the phone to the latest Android version available.

The new version number is LRX22C and it also arrives to both Sprint and T-Mobile models. Both carriers are rolling out the update in waves, so keep an eye on the notifications. Of course, you can always check manually on the “About phone” menu to search for a “System update”.

Google has also published the OTA file, so you can download it directly from their own servers. You can also find there the instructions to install it correctly on your device.
