Huawei Ascend P7 is updated to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop

The wait is finally over. The beta began in summer and was tested before the final version has finally come in fall, when finally the Huawei Ascend P7 is updated to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

If you have one of the terminals of the Chinese brand and still no update or OTA has reached to your smartphone, you have to be a little patience because it will be here soon. The weight of the update is 276 MB and will bring the latest version available (yet) of Android, although it will be for a short time as Google is about to release Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

It was unclear whether the Ascend P7 will receive the next version of the operating system or if this update will be the last this model will see, but hopefully with the assistance of Huawei in making Google Nexus 6P will help the Chinese company improve updates speed.

The Huawei Ascend P7 was launched in 2014 and it really is good news because this is a device that takes more than a year on the market and continue to receive updates, even if these take a while to arrive. True, it should be normal, but the apathy of some manufacturers in this area requires us to applaud those who simply do their job as it should be.

The new version of the operating system for the Huawei Ascend P7 comes with interesting news. For aesthetically part the user interface is much more colorful than the one used before (now EMUI 3.1). Besides, those who have already used the new firmware have indicated that the performance is much better and fluid, which is very clear because the “lag” is much lower (though not disappear at all).
