Bad news for HTC One Mini 2 owners. The device is surprisingly not being updated to Lollipop. Yes, this is somewhat surprising, because the hardware that is integrated into the HTC One Mini 2, without being the most powerful on the market, it is suitable to run Android Lollipop with adequate solvency. An example of this is that the processor is a Snapdragon 400, the RAM is 1 GB, and also as the battery or connectivity are adequate to that. HTC One Mini 2 is not far from being accurate model as some of Motorola, so maybe it is running Sense which does not offer the expected performance.

Doubts arise in the midrange and low products, where some models are not receiving any update nor getting the corresponding firmware based on the latest iteration of the operating system of Google. And this is what will happen with the HTC One Mini 2.
The truth is that the work to adapt the operating system to get the HTC One Mini 2 have started a while ago, but it seems that the Taiwanese company is not happy with the results of development and they canceled the corresponding update for this phone. Thus, if you have one of these models it seems you will not get any improvement as the ART virtual machine or new Material Design.
And we not talking about a leak from some way to indicate that this phone will have Android Lollipop, because as you can see above, in a message on Twitter the manufacturer has been who has indicated that there is no scheduled date for the arrival of the new version of the Google operating system and, therefore, the corresponding adapted firmware.
Moreover, the reasons given are quite clear: the user experience is achieved with the HTC One Mini 2 by using Lollipop is not the best, what has made the company finally discard its launch (at least for the time). So, if you have one of these phones you have to make up your mind that no notifications will appear in your lock screen, for instance.
