ASUS announces plans to update to Android Marshmallow

One of the most valuable features of a large segment of users are operating system updates. Through these updates, we can get new features while improving performance and system security, among other things. With each new version of Android, users are just always wondering when their devices will update to Marshmallow, being the months after the time it is released at which any manufacturer can take their specific dates, showing better support offered than the competition. Today we know the first details of the ASUS update to Marshmallow.

Now we know the ASUS plans to update its line of smartphones. The version in question is Android 6.0 Marshmallow and as we told you recently, a month after its release it is only in 0.3% of devices. This version incorporates a better performance, plus new features like Doze, which helps improve the autonomy and rights management, allowing us to restrict application to access a particular resource or not.

The devices in question to receive the latest Android version are the one released in 2015, with the exception of Fonepad S, a 2014 terminal that will be updated too. In addition to this, we find the ASUS ZenFone 2, the ZenFone 2 Deluxe, ZenFone 2 Laser and ZenFone 2 Selfie. Of course, the abandonment of ZenFone range of 2014 makes us think Marshmallow will be the last version that ZenFone 2 would received, unless the Taiwanese manufacturer will give us a surprise in the next year.

For now we do not know the date you will receive this update on your device, so it is possible that until early 2016 we will not habe new information, while on the other hand we do not know whether it has come to the catalog of tablets of the company, still interesting given the good quality/price ratio thereof.
